May 2000, Cadillac aficionado Kim Hansen said that The (new) Cadillac Database© had been featured in
Sweden's largest daily newspaper, Aftonbladet. Some interesting
Internet sites were mentioned in an insert, including five related to automobiles;
one of these was The Cadillac Database©.

And in 2004, Patrik, from Germany
( patrik_hartmann-at-web.de / no

Cadillac; amazing amount of history; great stuff; hope this site will live forever like
the Cadillac itself. Well done mate; this page is already in my favourites folder.
In January, 2008, Ingo, also from
Germany said: Thanks a
lot for helping to solve my old riddle concerning the famous "Farouk" Cadillac.
Despite I already abandoned my work in the Cadillac business back in 2003, I still bear
these wonderful cars in mind. Please keep up your stunning website. For me, there´s no
better Cadillac encyclopedia in the world (and I normally prefer books to websites in
In August, 2008, Bob Bacon, from

In July 2014,
CLC member #26790, John Emerson from Middlebury in Vermont,
commented: The Cadillac-LaSalle Database (www.cadillacdatabase.org)
is an extraordinary resource and it surely represents thousands of hours
of effort and research [...] the literature and photo sections are
very useful and informative [...] I have been amazed at how
complete and accurate the Database is [Yann] deserves deepest
appreciation from all of us. I know he has received well-deserved awards
in the past. Thank you, Yann!
I felt that John's kind comments deserved a reply: Thank you
for the heads up, John. I am flattered to know that some of the info and
photos I have added to the Cadillac Database over the past 15 years has
entertained many of you and perhaps broadened the scope of your interest
in Cadillac and LaSalle cars [...] Despite that I turned over
responsibility for the DB to CLC member and good friend, JC Franchitti,
in 2011-12, I still try to help out whenever I find the time by adding
new or better images to the resource. My lasting regret is that I got
into digitally recording Cadillac literature only in the mid-90s, when I
had only "starter" hardware and software, as well as (very) limited
access to web space.
